Camomila
Rei vadio is a Portuguese band from Coimbra, which I am a founder of.
The project consists of the animation
of the song "Camomila" exploring the non conventional music notation.
This representation is based in a video
that portrays visual music, using symbols, and
in a digital representation of the music sheet.
The idea was to associate the irreverence
of Rei Vadio (present in his communication,
in the lyrics and in his own musical style)
with one of the most daring phases of the history of art and design: the avant-garde movements of the 20th century.
Thus we get a concept capable of identifying music, visually, through influences such as Constructivism and Russian Suprematism,
Dada, Wassily Kandinsky, Oskar Fischinger, Kazimir Malevich, Kurt Schwitters
and Tristan Tzara.
